The term ‘Premier Cash Registers Ltd’ and ‘Premier Retail Systems Rental Ltd’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is 43 Frenches Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 2HR. Our company registration numbers are 2511693 and 1989139 respectively.  The term ‘our website’ refers to www.premiercash.co.uk and any sub-domains of this site unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.  The term ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to the customer and/or the user or viewer of our website. Any terms or conditions which are deemed to be invalid will not affect the enforceability of any other terms and conditions deemed enforceable by the applicable courts of law.

We collect personal information from you.  This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use this information and who we share it with.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

 

What information do we collect about you?

We collect personal information directly, over the telephone or via emails and via our website, when you place or attempt to place an order with us for goods or services, make an enquiry, request more information, request a quotation or request a demonstration.  This can include contact names, billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers and email addresses and payment information (such as debit/credit card numbers).  Bank details may be requested by email if a refund is due.

Occasionally, information is obtained or verified indirectly from an internet search or from Companies House, Royal Mail or DPD especially when the information is incomplete.  If we have inaccurate or incomplete information, this would damage the efficiency of the purpose for which it is to be used.

We refer to the above information as ‘order information’.

Information is also collected automatically when you visit our website.  We collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device.  Additionally, as you browse our website, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to our website, and information about how you interact with our website. We refer to this automatically-collected information as ‘device information’.

In addition, our website uses Google Analytics and Shopify Analytics which report data to their servers.  Google Analytics does not identify individual users or connect your IP address with any other data held by Google.  

 

How will we use the information about you?

The necessary lawful basis for us processing your order information is to establish, execute and fulfil a ‘contract’ with you.  We will use this information to process and deliver your order, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, communicate with you, provide the goods and services requested, manage your account and maintain guarantee records.  We will retain this information indefinitely to execute possible future orders and provide support on equipment unless, and until, you ask us to delete this information.

We use the device information that we collect (in particular, your IP address) to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimise our website (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with our website, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).  The necessary lawful basis for us processing your device information is ‘consent’.  Users of our website are blocked from non-essential cookies and 3rd party Javascript (used in analytics) until they give their consent.  This unambiguous, opt-in consent can be revoked at any time by clicking on ‘Cookie Preferences’ which can also be found in the footer at the bottom of all our website pages.  Please note that blocking cookies may affect the performance or even prevent you from accessing or using certain features of our website.

Shopify uses your personal information by means of an automated decision-making process to block certain transactions on our website that may appear to be fraudulent.

Please note that we do not alter our website’s data collection and use practices when we see a ‘Do Not Track’ signal from your browser

 

Do we share the information about you?

If you complete a direct debit authorisation form, you agree to allow your information to be passed to GoCardless who operate the direct debit facility on our behalf. Your information, which includes contact name, address, email address, bank account number and sort-code, may be transferred, processed and stored outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and may be subject to disclosure as required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information to other companies for marketing or any other purposes.

We will share personal information with our accountants at the end of each financial year.

Our website, some of our services and some of those of our service providers may be hosted on servers located outside of the UK or the EEA.  Our service providers may also be situated outside the UK or EEA.  This means that your personal information may be processed, transferred and stored elsewhere, for example, in the United States of America or Canada.

You have the right to request a copy of, and to ask us to amend or remove the personal information that we hold about you.  If any information is found to be incorrect or you require it to be removed, we will also, if necessary, contact any third party that we have shared the information with to make amendments to, or remove it from their records.
