EPOS Reporting for the Allocation of Tips

As hospitality businesses are now well aware, the Employment Allocation of Tips Act 2023 states that it is mandatory for all tips to be passed on to workers without deductions.  However, from 1st October 2024, further legislation has been introduced regarding the fair and transparent allocation and distribution of tips, gratuities and service charges. 

One of the most important changes is that records of tips must be kept for up to 3 years and any member of staff can make a written request to see these records every 3 months. Workers are able to enforce their rights regarding this legislation through employment tribunials.

Thankfully, if you use a Samtouch or eZeePos EPOS system, you can now access reports specifically for tips and gratuities. These reports are stripped down financial reports showing limited information as required to show to staff. Here are a couple of example reports below:
